The Battle Of Jericho

The Battle of Jericho By Sharon M. Draper is the story of an over-weight high school boy with amazing talents for playing the trumpet, who is pledged to be in the fraternity, Warriors Of Distinction. This is a big achievement for Jericho because one, Being a warrior of distinction puts him higher in the food chain, two, Jericho's family would be proud, and third, the girl of his dreams, Arielle, would love him forever. Jericho struggles to make the decision between being a Warrior Of Distinction or pursuing his trumpet career. The Battle of Jericho is both intriguing and keeps you guessing. By the end of the story you are completely surprised and shocked at the outcome.
