The Hunger Games takes place in the not too distant future when North America is divided into 12 districts. The children between twelve and eighteen, one boy and one girl from ever district were sent called to Panem, the capital at the time, so that they could have a fight to the death for the entertainment of the groher. In the book the author writes by giving suspense and also making you think you know a lot and you couldn't know any more before you realize you don't everything.I was surprised to find out that the main character was a girl and that she was sixteen years old and also that she lived in this time. i would recommend reading this book only if you are interested in sci-fi and also adventure. =
I agree, reading a book that is long AND not that interesting, is a hard thing to do. But it seems like that book would be a very good book if you were only interested in science fiction. You should stick to a book genre that you are most interested in.
