Just Listen is a book about a girl named Annabel Greene and her life as a commercial TV star. You would think that her life outside of commercials was perfect but it is not. At school she is called names and made fun of by her ex best friend Sophie. She is also an outsider because she is no longer friends with anyone at school because of a mysterious incident during the summer. Her sister Whitney has an eating disorder that made her move back home with the family. Annabel can no longer talk to her family about her problems because she is scared of what they would say. After a few weeks at school she meets a boy named Owen Armstrong that has anger management problems and is obsessed with music. Annabel starts to have a close relationship with Owen making her perspective on life change dramatically. This book is a quick, intriguing read and anyone would enjoy it.
